J W Clark Ltd was first registered as a company in 2002.  As a small but rapidly expanding team we have in a short space of time built an outstanding reputation in and around Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties.  The fact that many of our customers are regular and repeat customers is testament to our claims.

We pride ourselves on providing a particularly professional service in an industry where this can be sometimes hard to find.

Range Of Work Undertaken

In addition to the list opposite, the bulk of our work has traditionally been the construction of projects to ‘damp proof course’ or ‘ground level’. Projects include anything from a conservatory, house extension or garage to new builds. This stage of any project tends to account for between 15-30% of the total cost of any build and includes:

Demolition/Site clearance
Setting out, excavation & ‘pouring’ of footings
Drainage works including foul & rainwater
Construction of oversites/floors
Hard landscaping at the end of any project 

Our Customers

We are Groundwork contractors to several local building firms and conservatory companies. We also undertake groundwork and construction work for two local authorities in Northamptonshire.  In addition to these regular customers we welcome domestic enquiries from the general public and from commercial customers. As is the recent trend, many of our customers are ‘self-builders’.

Communication & Customer Service

Our customers have often praised us for our good communication and service. This includes:

• Giving fixed quotes for all types of work. This is contrary to the industry’s preferred method of giving ‘estimates’ for work.
• All quotes are put into writing – nothing is done by verbal agreement
• We do our utmost to give honest and accurate estimates as to when a job will be started, and when we expect it to be finished
• On most jobs, we don’t ask for payment until the job is completed. On larger projects, we tend to ask for 45% payment half way through the job. We never ask for payment up-front
