East Haddon Water Pipe
Our customer was in need of a water pipe installation as part of her plan for a new build in the quiet village of East Haddon. That sounds easy enough, but the nearest connection point was 500 metres away and had to be laid on the public highway! We applied for a Section 50 license with Northants County Council to do the works as our workers have a valid NRSWA (Streetworks Act) license.
After gaining approval within 4-6 weeks, we excavated from the site boundary in the grass verge at around 750mm deep laying a 50mm water pipe, which was covered with 4 inches of fill sand and the appropriate warning tape placed on top before backfilling and reinstating as we found it. We left a small hole (fenced off for safety reasons) every 100m so an inspector from Anglian Water could come out and check our work, all of which was passed!
Here is what the customer had to say:
You can put that I was incredibly impressed and would thoroughly recommend!
